Soulful and arty evening with Swati Pasari

Swati-Pasari-with-Shibani-Kashyap-1024x683Young and vibrant artist Swati Pasari was on an arty high with her showcase and cocktail evening at Zerzura in New Delhi. Film Stars, Celebs and Art Connoisseurs came together for an evening of abstract art, cocktails and celebrations at Zerzura in New Delhi. It’s not an everyday feature that a Mid-Eastern lounge known for its belly dance nights and great tagines hosts an evening celebrating art. But when young artist Swati Pasari hosted an evening showcasing her collection ‘Soulink’ comprising of painting and sculptures, guests from across the style and film industries along with corporates and serious buyers, all turned up for an evening of art, cocktails and celebrations.

Swati’s dozen paintings are part of a vibrant, abstract collection but the ‘wow’ factor of the evening came from her 5-feet tall Krishna sculpture, painted in a myriad of hues with shlokas inscribed on all sides. It served as the inspiration for actor Nasir Abdullah to pull out his flute and play a few spell-binding melodies, while 90s superhit star of Aashiqui fame, Rahul Roy spent more than a few minutes mulling over the collection. Owner of Zerzura and co-host for the evening, Shagun Somani, designer Samant Chauhan, artist Nikki Anand, singer Shibani Kashyap, celebrity dermatologist Dr Varun Katyal, polo player Sharad Saxena, hospitality consultants Sonia and Manu Mohindra were some of the creme de la creme seen absorbed in the colourful world of Swati Pasari.

Through her paintings, our artist, Swati Pasari has been exploring the world of spirituality and self-cognition for a number of years now. Her work has earned her accolades all over the globe and this time, she is back with her collection of paintings expressing the sheer joy of existence. Her attempt is to understand life and herself through the world of her paintings, and that’s why this collection was aptly called ‘Soulink’.

What we see, what we think, what we experience shapes our identity and creates the person that we become. If we seek the company of the enlightened, think only positive thoughts and talk health and happiness to all we meet, we will become healthy, happy and successful. Adopting this timeless principle in her paintings, Swati has made use of bright vibrant colours to create characters immersed in joy and bliss.
