For the last few days, a news has been doing rounds on the internet that Ananda in the Himalayas could be one of the destinations Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might consider for their honeymoon post the royal wedding celebrations. While the news is not confirmed yet, we would want them to come to India but before that let us take you through a pictorial journey of one of the most luxurious and holistic resorts in the world.

Ananda in the Himalayas is situated in Narendra Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand. A 40-minute uphill drive from Muni ki Reti in Rishikesh will take you to this haven.

One of the standard rooms I have stayed in during my visit to the resort some time back. All the rooms are designed keeping the Indian aesthetics in mind and the balconies open up to amazing views of mountains, river Ganges and the city of Rishikesh.

One of the things that stayed with me even after coming back is the morning drink that is served every day. A concoction of ginger, lime, and honey is the perfect way to wake your senses up and soothe them at the same time.

Sunsets are equally interesting when at Ananda in the Himalayas. There is a sunset point where one can experience sun vanishing in the clouds and at the same time, a bagpiper plays the bagpipe.

The restaurant serves international cuisines as well as food prescribed as per your treatment.
